Randine Lewis, Ph.D., L.Ac
A quote from Randine Lewis’s Biography notes is
My nightstand is still always stocked with a novel, a self-help book, spiritual writings, and professional works. My greatest love is when I can find a book that encompasses them all.
Well, for me, “The Way of the Fertile Soul” certainly does that – it has stories, it has self-help exercises, it incorporates spiritual writings and it is written by a well qualified doctor who has studied both western and eastern medicine.
You might ask “Why would a mature lady be buying a book on fertility?” If I am being honest, I picked it up in a sale, I loved the colour of the cover, and I just read the title “The Way of the Fertile Soul: Ten Ancient Chinese Secrets to Tap into a Woman’s Creative Potential” and decided that ‘it was for me’!
So, for anyone seeking help on fertility, it is an excellent resource. For anyone who wants to tap into their creativity, enhance their wellbeing and learn simple exercises to balance their emotions, it is a well of wisdom!
I particularly enjoyed the section on balancing emotions. The author uses simple illustrations to demonstrate the teaching. For example, being aware of how I breathe. Do I have difficulty letting go.
It is the sort of book that we can come back to again and again. As our lives move on, we read from a different perspective, and so garner new knowledge.
I thoroughly recommend it as a good read, increase your energy, reduce stress, a useful book to be able to offer to friends, and a pretty colour in the bookcase!

Biography
Randine Lewis, Ph.D., I was raised in northern Minnesota, but I always knew I would leave my birthplace and family of origin to find my place in the world. And I knew it would involve struggle and sacrifice. My early life was not easy. I was plagued with shyness, and wasn’t very adept at expressing myself to others. But I could write. And I could express myself on paper far easier than in spoken word. And I could read. I’ve always found my greatest escape in books. I devoured fantasy novels as a child, such as the Narnia Chronicles, by C.S. Lewis. As an adult, I overcame my shyness, but never overcame my love for books. My nightstand is still always stocked with a novel, a self-help book, spiritual writings, and professional works. My greatest love is when I can find a book that encompasses them all.
